Is adoption right for me?
Am I ready to adopt?
Perhaps you've just completed another unsuccessful in vitro cycle or you are dealing with some other medical issue that has prevented you from becoming pregnant. Or you have been unable to conceive because of age, male factor infertility, a medical issue or you have chosen not to have a biological child because of a family genetic condition. You are single, you don't wish to be pregnant, yet you do want to be a parent.
Perhaps your path to parenthood has been fraught with disappointment, heartache and expense, not to mention the strain it has placed on your relationship with your partner and your family. But you know someone who has adopted, or you've read an article or have seen something on television about adopted children and you wonder, "Can adoption work for me?"
I can help you and/or your partner work through the issues that need to be resolved so that you can decide whether adoption is right for you.
And if you choose to pursue adoption, I will answer your questions and provide the information you will need to move ahead to the next phase of the adoption process. Some issues you may want to consider are:
